You may ask where exactly are the resources wasted. SO training LLM’s like GPT 3.5, Claude, Gemini takes a lot of:-

• 🤖 Massive Hardware components which are non eco-friendly

• 💧 Water for cooling the hardware infrastructure

• & Of course lots of electricity ⚡

Comparing just the resources spent for training GPT-3 model is estimated to be equivalent to 600 flights between New York and San Francisco 🤯

Just imagine the number of LLM’s emerging every now & then !!

Training a single AI model can consume as much electricity as 100 average American homes in a year. Which is crazy considering the benefit it gives us as of now !! Which is just writing essays, solving assignments & just a better search engine overall.
